The new manager of the Malta Tourism Authority,Peter Vella was in Dublin to attend the the Irish Travel Trade Awards, he also took time to brief the media.

Currently Ryanair are the only airline offering direct flights from Dublin to Malta, Vella said they were talking to Aer Lingus with a view to getting them to operate to the George Cross island.He was also hopeful that flights from Belfast with Easyjet would resume in 2016.
