FastBooking and Travelport Agreement

FastBooking, an online solutions provider for the hospitality industry, and Travelport have reached an agreement through which FastBooking client hotels are displayed and bookable on travelportroomsandmore, Travelport’s recently launched hotel booking tool that allows travel agents to book a greater choice of commissionable accommodation and take advantage of the rapidly growing hotel sector.

“Our goal is to increase our hotels’ online business with travel agencies worldwide and to consolidate our position in this high-potential segment,” said Alain Hirschfeld, FastBooking’s Marketing Director, Business Development. “The agreement with Travelport is coherent with our strategy of developing a quality distribution network for our hotel clients by working with strong international partners.”

Travelport Rooms and More combines the metasearch functionality and user interface developed by Sprice.com, which was acquired by Travelport in May 2010, with Travelport’s core B2B expertise to deliver a completely integrated hotel booking platform.

The partnership will boost the visibility of FastBooking client hotels among the 65,000 connected travel agency customers in the worldwide Travelport network and create more high value opportunities.

“The FastBooking portfolio of independent hotels located in high demand destinations is fantastic new content for the increasing number of Travelport Rooms and More travel agency users and we are delighted to be signing this partnership,” said Niklas Andreen, Travelport’s Group Vice President, Global Hospitality.
