A full-scale promotional campaign will see the Emirates logo used in almost half a million festival guides and special festival supplements. Emirates will have high visibility on 17th March with colourful parade route branding and, more specifically, the airline will be directly associated with one of the eight artistic Dublin Parade Pageants, which will feature Emirates flags and special choreographed performances.

Emirates’ corporate identity will be included in all Festival social media and online campaigns and guests of Emirates will enjoy VIP hospitality, including Parade-side seats on ‘Lá le Pádraig’.

Last year’s Parade in the capital attracted almost 500,000 visitors and a further 800,000 tuned in to enjoy the spectacle on national TV.

Margaret Shannon, Country Manager – Ireland, said that for an international airline, the Festival was an exceptional sponsorship opportunity. “St Patrick’s Day is one of the most far-reaching and celebrated national holidays in the world. It’s quite unique in that so many countries, nationalities and cultures join in the celebrations for our national holiday. It’s not just the millions of Irish diaspora across the globe that celebrate 17th March, its impact and reach go way beyond, generating goodwill and connecting people in celebration, across the world.

“This is one of the reasons why it is such a strong partnership for Emirates. Connecting people and cultures is our underlying ethos and nowhere is this ethos more visible than during the St Patrick’s Festival.”
