Deutsche Bahn Appoints its First Agency in Ireland

The Vaults underneath Connolly Station in Dublin was the perfect venue for the introduction of DB Bahn: German Railways of ATTS – Travel Representation Solutions. They are now an officially licensed DB agency and can offer DB tickets and a wide range of other continental railway journeys for the Irish market.

The ATTS team headed by Ger Aherne welcomed agents to the event; she was joined by Oliver Schmidt for DB.

“We strongly believe that we can offer Irish customers flying to Germany great options for onward rail travel from the airports to major German cities and are convinced that with ATTS we have found an experienced local partner to further develop DB’s presence in Ireland,” Oliver Shmidt, Deutsche Bahn’s Director of Sales for UK & Ireland, told the trade  audience at the event.

“ATTS is delighted to be representing DB Bahn in Ireland,” said Ger Aherne, General Manager, ATTS – Travel Representation Solutions. “DB Bahn offers the Irish travel trade a broad array of exciting rail products such as best price point-to-point tickets and InterRail passes, opening additional revenue opportunities for Irish travel agents, as well as a training programme over the coming months.”
