Adventure Travel Company Explore Worldwide Granted Sustainability Accreditation by Ethy

Trusted review provider Feefo has partnered with sustainability accreditation specialist ethy, supporting brands to verify their sustainability assertions.

Following an independent audit, Explore Worldwide has met ethy’s standards for verified sustainability claims and achieved certification, demonstrating the company’s contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and helping its consumers make informed decisions.

Jae Hopkins, marketing director at Explore, said:The Feefo Sustainability Awareness Solution is a simple way to show potential Explore customers that we care about sustainability and responsible tourism. Its wide range of ecolabels helps people make educated choices and supports businesses like Explore that place sustainability at the centre of their business strategy. It also recognises those businesses striving for equality and diversity.”

There are over 40 different ecolabels available applicable for different businesses and industries, covering a wide range of sustainability areas, including actions like cutting CO2 emissions to help stabilise the climate, using resources responsibly, protecting biodiversity and animal welfare, driving positive change within communities, caring for employees, and more.

Explore has already achieved five key ecolabels, with several more in-process. Labels include:

Cruelty Free experiences – Explore’s robust Animal Protection Policy is based on supporting the Five Domains of animal welfare.  Its simple traffic light approach helps us ensure we put the animals welfare first at all times.

Empowered Employees – All staff are supported to lead active and low-carbon lifestyles, work flexibly to achieve a good work-life balance and encouraged to get involved with developing Explore’s sustainable, purpose-led approach to business.

Living Wage – Explore is a certified Living Wage employer, following independently-calculated data to ensure a decent standard of living in the UK.

Community Champion – All employees have two volunteering days each year, many of which are spent giving back to local community

Gives to Charity – Explore has an annual charity budget to support initiatives that are important to staff and to customers.

Tony Wheble, CEO at Feefo, commented:We’re now in a world where consumers increasingly seek brands that demonstrate a verifiable commitment to sustainability. This new product, with its independent and verified process, will help consumers to confidently find the most sustainable and responsible brands and will inevitably influence their purchasing decisions.’’
