A total of 13 tourism companies from Ireland joined Tourism Ireland over the weekend at the Discover Europe Travel Summit in Dubai.
The Discover Europe Travel Summit is a two-day B2B tourism event organised by Tourism Ireland, in conjunction with the German National Tourist Board, the Austrian National Tourist Office and Switzerland Tourism.
The event brought together a delegation of exhibitors from Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland to meet, and do business with, around 110 travel buyers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
Aisling McDermott, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Asia and Middle East, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to host the Discover Europe Travel Summit, in conjunction with the German National Tourist Board, the Austrian National Tourist Office and Switzerland Tourism. It was really great to have so many key travel buyers from the GCC in attendance, who took the time to come and meet with our partners from Ireland in Dubai.
“The two-day event offered an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of Ireland among the influential travel buyers from the GCC and secure a greater share of their valuable business.”
