Celebrity presenter Fred Sirieix is back promoting Ireland as a travel destination on British TV screens.

This month, the second instalment or ‘part deux’ of his hit show Tour de Fred – co-produced by Tourism Ireland and supported by Irish Ferries – will air on ITV1 and ITVX.

The new five-part series – devised by Waddell Media – kicks off with a double episode this Saturday and Sunday (10th and 11th January). Viewers will follow Fred as he arrives by ferry in Dublin Port, ready to uncover the charms of Ireland’s South-East and tackle some cycling adventures along the way. Episode one sees Fred exploring Wexford’s rich heritage, from the JFK Arboretum and Dunbrody Famine Ship to the iconic Hook Lighthouse, Johnstown Castle and the Irish National Heritage Park.

In episode two, Fred cycles the stunning Waterford Greenway to Mount Congreve Gardens, where he joins chef Jean-Baptiste Dubois for a foraging adventure. He then visits Waterford Crystal and discovers the tranquil Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens, Fenor Bog, Mahon Falls and Crough Wood – perfect spots for Fred to connect with nature and soak up Ireland’s stunning landscapes.

Episodes three through five will air on Sundays, with Fred continuing his journey deeper into Waterford before heading to County Cork. In the final episode, he’ll be joined by his daughter Andrea.
