Radisson RED Enters Ireland, with Galway Selected as First Location

Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans to open its first Radisson RED property in Ireland.

The RED brand is Radisson’s attempt to target the millennial guest market, with more hip and modern layouts to its rooms, lobby areas and bars.

The brand has more than 85 properties around the world, either in operation or development, and construction has begun on the first of these in Ireland, with Galway selected as its destination.

The new 8-storey, 177-bedroom Radisson RED Galway is due to open later this year, with construction already underway. It forms part of the city’s ambitious new Crown Square development.

Adela Cristea, Vice President, Business Development UK, Ireland & Nordics at Radisson Hotel Group said: “We are delighted to introduce Radisson RED to Ireland and specifically to Galway with this momentous signing and are pleased to be working closely with the Rhatigan Group once again in their hometown. Radisson RED Galway is testament to their vision, and we are thrilled to be part of this project. Galway is the perfect home for the Radisson RED brand — a place where vibrant atmosphere, unique charm, and rich cultural heritage come together. We are delighted to be joining the community.”
