ITIC’s ‘Tourism: Big Impact, Small Footprint’ Conference: 1 Week to Go!

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) is reminding delegates of their final chance to book tickets for its 2023 annual conference – which takes place next week, in Athlone.

ITIC’s ‘Tourism: Big Impact, Small Footprint’ conference takes place on September 18 in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone.

Tickets to the tourism conference cost €125 + Vat and the event will be hosted by broadcaster Dearbhail McDonald and will be opened by Elaina Fitzgerald Kane, Chair of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation. Other speakers and panellists include economist Jim Power, Fáilte Ireland CEO Paul KellySean O’Driscoll of iNUA Collection, Director of the Cliffs of Moher Geraldine Enright, Tourism Ireland’s Siobhan McManamy, Head of Sustainability for AIB Sarah Dempsey, and ITIC CEO Eoghan O’Mara Walsh. A Special Recognition Award will also be presented to a tourism hero.

Patrick Kielty will speak about tourism as a force for good and Bertie Ahern will be in conversation with Dearbhail McDonald about 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement and how tourism was chosen at the time as an all-island sector.

Registration starts on Monday September 18th at 9.15am with the conference beginning at 10am and running until 3.30pm with lunch and refreshments included.
