Ireland’s 5 Main Airports See 12.4 Million Passengers Towards End of 2024

Latest CSO figures show that 12.4 million passengers passed through Ireland’s five main airports in the third quarter of last year; up from 11.8 million in the same period in 2023.

More than 31.8 million passengers passed through the main Irish airports over the first nine months of last year, 1.7 million more than the corresponding period in 2023.

More than 80,000 flights were handled by Ireland’s five main airports during the quarter; with Dublin handling 84%.

London-Heathrow, Amsterdam-Schiphol, and Malaga were the busiest routes for passengers travelling through Dublin airport in quarter 3 2024. The top route for Cork and Shannon was London-Heathrow, while it was London-Luton for Knock and Kerry.
