Ireland has been ranked third safest country in the world for tourists, in a new global survey.

Each country was given a score based on various safety factors, which was then totalled to provide an overall safety score. The higher the score, the safer the country is, according to CryptoWinRate, the crypto exchange testing company which undertook the study.

The study analysed crime rates, health systems, civil freedoms and environmental risks.

Iceland was deemed the safest country to visit; followed by Denmark and Ireland. Ireland outranked the likes of Germany, Switzerland and Canada in the survey.

Muhammad Talha from CryptoWinRate commented: “It doesn’t matter if you’re traveling for work, or for a holiday, you want to know that the destination that you’re headed to is safe above all else
