Ireland Named One of World’s Best Tourist Driving Hotspots

Ireland has been ranked as one of the world’s best tourist driving hotspots.

The study – by car subscription expert FINN – analysed world locations based on attractions, ease of access and cost.

Ireland ranked 9th in the overall list – with Croatia, Spain, Slovenia, Australia and Japan making up the top five. The UK and France were joint 15th on the list, while New Zealand ranked 18th.

Where Ireland failed was in the areas of road quality, car hire cost, fuel prices and parking.

However, Ireland ranked highly elsewhere – ranking 4th best for safety, joint 1st for attractions, 5th for road trip online searches, and 7th for ‘instagrammability’.
