Ireland Attracted 445,200 Inbound Visitors in December

December saw 445,200 overseas visitors in Ireland, according to latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

According to the CSO, 42% of inbound visitors in December came from Britain, with 12% from the US and 8.6% from Spain and/or Portugal.

The visitors stayed on average 10.1 nights and spent on average €1,156 on their trips.

The overall combined spend amounted to €514.5m.

In all, just under 1.5 million people departed Irish airports during December, with the aforementioned 445,200 being foreign visitors returning home, and the rest being Irish inhabitants going abroad.
