Fáilte Ireland Board Boosted by 5 New Appointments

Fáilte Ireland has announced five new appointments to boost its management.

Catherine Corbett, Donagh Davern, Anna M. Kelly, Daniel McLoughlin and Una Ryder have been appointed to the National Tourism Development Authority’s board by Tourism Minister Catherine Martin.

Ms Corbett is a former Head of Finance at EY and Chief Financial Officer at Deloitte Ireland.

Dr Davern is a hospitality lecturer and a former hotel General Manager.

Dr Kelly is a highly regarded inclusion and accessibility expert and had held leadership positions in UCD, NRB, St Michael’s House and FÁS.

Mr McLoughlin has worked for over 30 years in local government leadership positions including as Chief Executive in Leitrim, Westmeath and South Dublin County Councils.

Ms Ryder is a senior director with over 30 years’ domestic and international experience working in, and advising on, the aviation and tourism-related sectors, as well as in professional services.  Her core expertise is in marketing, brand and business strategy including consumer insight, market segmentation, product and service innovation and marketing communications.  

Minister Martin said: “I wish to congratulate all five appointees, each of whom has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to excellence in their respective fields and wish them the very best during their terms.  The appointments of such high calibre candidates to the National Tourism Development Authority further enhances the strategic direction and vision for the work of Fáilte Ireland.”

Each of them is highly qualified, experienced, and respected in their fields.
