Expressway Continues Wheelchair Accessibility Roll-Out, with Dundalk-Dublin Route Upgrade

Bus Éireann/Expressway has announced that as of this coming Sunday – 30 March 2025, all Expressway Route 100X (Dundalk-Dublin) services will become wheelchair accessible, from the following accessible stops:

  • Dundalk Bus Station
  • Drogheda Bus Station
  • Dublin Airport

Dublin City (Pick Up: Custom House Quay & Drop Off: Opposite Convention Centre)

This builds on wheelchair accessibility added to the Expressway network in Letterkenny Bus Station, Ballyshannon, Sligo Bus Station, Galway Bus Station and Derry last year.

Bus Éireann is working hard to improve the access to services for all passengers and particularly those with additional needs. This accessible service will help facilitate wheelchair users, particularly those travelling from Dublin Airport to Drogheda and Dundalk on Expressway’s premium coach services.

Andrew Yates, Head of Expressway said: “Today’s announcement represents Expressway’s commitment to the provision of a fully accessible public transport system. We are proud to be enhancing our service offering, incorporating wheelchair accessible vehicles and improvements to bus services for our passengers in Dublin, Drogheda and Dundalk.

With 19 daily services departing Dublin and Dundalk, the 100X is one of the most convenient ways of travelling between Dublin and Dundalk.“Customers who would like to make a wheelchair booking on any of our accessible Expressway routes can do so on our website (expressway.ie/accessibility).
