Dublin Sees Surge in Destination Google Searches

Dublin is the 3rd most searched European city break destination on Google in the past 12 months, according to a new survey.

The study, by travel management specialist Bounce, ranks Kraków top in terms of Google searches – with the Polish city seeing a 310% surge in interest in 12 months.

The measurement was taken between last October and last December.

On a year-on-year basis, searches on Dublin jumped 38%.

Only Kraków and Seville saw a greater rise in interest.

The Top 10 was rounded out by Vienna, Prague, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Milan, Lisbon and Budapest.

Further study insights: 

  • The predicted most popular country to visit in 2024 is Türkiye, with 102,900 Google searches in the last 3 months of 2023.
  • Amsterdam is the predicted most popular city destination for Brits in 2024, with a total of 150,300 searches in the last 3 months of 2023.
  • The country rising in popularity the most is Albania with a 113% increase in Google searches.
