Dublin has been ranked 13th on a list of the 51 “most Instagrammable” European destinations for a city break holiday.
The capital outranked the likes of Helsinki, Tallin, Edinburgh, Athens, Lisbon, Vatican City, Valletta, Riga, Reykjavik, Copenhagen, and even Monaco in the most searched destination options, according to the NZCasinoClub survey.
London and Paris emerged as the most searched European city break destinations on Instagram – with Turkish capital Ankara in third place.
The top ten was rounded out by Berlin, Madrid, Amsterdam, Baku, Rome, Prague and Vienna.
A spokesperson for NZCasinoClub said: “Knowing which city to choose for your next trip can be difficult, especially if you desire an aesthetically pleasing destination for your social media posts. All capitals offer something different, whether it be from a historical monument to stores filled with designer clothing. These findings are a great way to indicate which destinations are the most suitable to your taste.”
Belfast ranked 31st in the list of 51 most favourable European city break destinations. That was comfortably ahead of the likes of Reykjavik, Vilnius, Riga and Ljublijana.
