Dalata Hotel Group – the owner of the Clayton and Maldron hotel chains – has formally announced the completion of its previously-agreed sale of Clayton Whites Hotel, located in Wexford town centre.
Dalata previously announced, in November, its agreement to sell the hotel, for €21m, to Neville Hotels.
Dalata has operated Whites Hotel since 2009 and took ownership of it in 2014, since when it has been called Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford.
Towards the end of last year, Dalata also sold its Maldron Hotel Wexford property – which is located on the outskirts of Wexford town – to Neville Hotels.
Dalata has confirmed it remains committed to its business in its home market of Ireland and will continue to grow here. Currently, the bulk of the group’s expansion is happening in the UK, while it also has ambitions to grow its mainland Europe business, which currently stands at two hotels – one each in Germany and the Netherlands.
