Culloden Estate & Spa Named NI Best Hotel Spa at World Spa Awards

The 5-star Culloden Estate & Spa has secured the title of Northern Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa at the esteemed World Spa Awards

It shares the limelight with renowned hotels from around the world, including the Mandarin Oriental, Bürgenstock Alpine Spa in Switzerland and Palazzo Fiuggi in Italy.

Dedicated to acknowledging excellence in spa and wellness tourism, the World Spa Awards sets a benchmark for exceptional industry standards.

The winners emerged after a rigorous selection process, which involved votes from industry experts, media and the general public.

This recognition follows an extensive £250,000 (circa €287,000) spa renovation initiative at the hotel, which introduced enhancements like a new nail bar and pedicure facility, improvements to the swimming pool area, and a complete revamp of the ladies’ changing facilities.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be named Northern Ireland’s Best Spa Hotel, in acknowledgment of our commitment to excellence in spa and wellness tourism, as well as the unwavering dedication of our teams across the Spa and Estate,” said Niamh Rice, Spa Manager at The Spa at Culloden.

“We have continued to invest heavily across the Culloden Estate and are proud to offer a luxurious haven for people to switch off, relax and recharge. I would like to thank our guests for voting for us in the World Spa Awards – their support is greatly appreciated.”

“The spa and wellness industry is experiencing sustained growth, evident in the calibre of nominees in our 2023 programme. All winners have shown dedication to delivering exceptional spa and wellness experiences and we are excited to share these achievements with the world,” said Rebecca Cohen, Managing Director of the World Spa Awards.

In 2020 a €861,000 investment programme from Hastings Hotels saw the introduction of a new linear vitality pool and a Tylarium at the Spatat Culloden, as well as a new couples’ treatment room and two additional bespoke pedicure treatment rooms.

This brings to €1.15m the total invested in the spa in the past three years.
