Crowe, one of Ireland’s leading accountancy and business advisory practices, has appointed Weldon Mather as director of Hotel, Tourism and Leisure (HTL).
Crowe’s dedicated HTL department is the leading consultancy practice serving the Hotel, Tourism and Leisure industry in Ireland.
Since 1995 Crowe has produced an annual Hotel Industry Survey for the Irish market. This publication serves as a benchmarking tool for the sector and provides analysis by region, classification and hotel size.
The company’s dedicated Hotel, Tourism and Leisure division (Horwath HTL) is the oldest and largest hotel and tourism consultancy practice in the world.
Mr Mather, a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS, MSCSI), a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and a Certified Hotel Asset Manager (Cornell), joins Crowe from Fáilte Ireland where he held the position of Head of Accommodation Development, where he was responsible for accommodation development, capacity growth and national quality and standards.
An experienced hotel asset manager, Mr Mather has over 30 years’ experience in the hotel, tourism and leisure industry. During his career he has advised across a wide range of projects and asset management assignments, playing a crucial role in the development of the Irish HTL sector.
In this role, Mr Mather will provide a wide range of services to those involved in the hotel, tourism and leisure sector, including owners, developers, financial institutions and industry stakeholders. The services he will provide include strategic advisory, asset management, planning and development, positioning and repositioning, debt advisory, transaction services, and expert witness and litigation support.
