Cork’s renowned Montenotte Hotel has been shortlisted for the Best Hotel Design of the Year award at this year’s Independent Hotel Show Awards.
Taking place on October 6, at Olympia in London, the awards celebrate the most forward-thinking and innovative hospitality leaders across the UK and Ireland.
The Montenotte has been nominated for its new Woodland Suite Experience, which launched just last year.

A first of its kind to open in Ireland, the nine new Woodland Suites and River Suites, as well as an exclusive residents-only Clubhouse, set a new standard for luxury accommodation in Ireland. With an investment of over €7.5 million, The Woodland Suite Experience is Ireland’s most luxurious outdoor suites.

Designed by Róisín Lafferty and renowned architects Henry J Lyons, each remarkable suite features Italian travertine and oak timber floor finishings.
The accommodations offer spacious and beautifully detailed bathrooms with free-standing baths overlooking scenic vistas and bespoke furnishings, offering unparalleled comfort and elegance. Each accommodation style provides a unique cocoon and evocative space, emanating restorative wanderlust, understated luxury, adventure, and bespoke authenticity. Guests can unwind with a good book or savour a coffee or crafted cocktail at The Clubhouse, designed for privacy and relaxation.
