Cork-based hospitality group Trigon Hotels has been certified as a ‘Great Place To Work’ for the third year in a row.
The certification is based on confidential team member feedback and is a reflection of how a company values its team.

Team members at Trigon Hotels completed a 73-question confidential Trust Index survey to measure the extent to which they consider their workplace as a ‘great place to work’.
Trigon Hotels, which operates the Cork International Hotel and the Metropole Hotel, is committed to creating a positive work environment and workplace culture.

The hotel group supports its team members through their careers and in their personal lives to achieve a healthy work/life balance. Team members across all departments are provided with ongoing training and are encouraged to engage in community and sustainability projects.
The HR team has introduced a number of policies around gender identity and the menopause which include training for senior members of the management team. They also launched a policy to support team members undergoing fertility treatment which includes options around flexible working hours and paid leave days.
Trigon Hotels has a long standing charity partnership with Horizons (formerly Cope Foundation) which resulted in the development of a sensory garden and fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden are used in the hotel kitchens.
It also engages with the charity’s Ability@Work programme, which is a dedicated supported employment service that aims to bring young people with intellectual disabilities and /or autism closer to the labour market.
Aaron Mansworth, Managing Director of Trigon Hotels, said: “We are delighted our efforts have been recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’. We truly value our team members who work together to make the hotel group a warm, inviting place to work and stay.

“We have spent a lot of time creating a culture where everyone can thrive and develop. We are thankful to each and every team member for their dedication and professionalism.”
Throughout the year, the hotel group holds team appreciation days with annual team awards as well as a long service award to celebrate team members’ commitment to their place of work.
Kathleen Linehan, Strategic Director of HR at Trigon Hotels, added: “It’s an honour for us to be recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ once again. The confidential feedback from our team members gives us clear direction about areas where we can improve and where we are doing well. The confidential feedback adds to the weight of the award. I am very grateful to our guests and team members who continue to support us.”
