CitizenM has officially opened its first hotel in Ireland, located close to St Patrick’s Cathedral in central Dublin.
The aptly-named CitizenM Dublin-St Patrick’s also marks the first CitizenM hotel opening anywhere across Ireland and the UK since Marriott bought the brand earlier this year.
The hotel houses 245 bedrooms spanning 9 storeys.

Klaas Van Lookeren Campagne, Chief Executive of CitizenM, said: “Dublin has been high on our list of target cities for some time, and we are thrilled to have secured this location as our first entry into the Irish market.
“We believe our affordable luxury concept is a great fit for the city, appealing to both visitors and locals alike, and look forward to connecting with this vibrant community.”
CitizenM operates over 30 hotels across the UK, North America, Europe and Asia, but this marks the brand’s first venture into Ireland, although it is actively seeking further opportunities in Dublin city centre.
