Belfast Hotel Market to Grow Further with Addition of DoubleTree by Hilton Brand Later this Year

Belfast’s ever-growing hotel selection is continuing with the DoubleTree by Hilton brand now set to debut in the city centre.

The Hilton group has announced that it has signed a franchise agreement with Loughview Leisure Group to bring the brand to Belfast, at a location in the city’s Linen Quarter, directly adjacent to Belfast City Hall.

The new hotel will be called DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square.

The hotel will undergo a multi-million refurbishment before joining the brand later this year. The property features 131 guest rooms and suites, including the Jaffe Penthouse, with many rooms offering picturesque views of the city and the surrounding hills.

In 2023, overseas tourism to Northern Ireland generated £672m in revenue, accounting for more than half of all visitor spending – further highlighting Belfast’s rising status as a key destination for both business and leisure.

Graham Dodd, managing director, development, UK & Ireland, Hilton, said: “The signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square marks a significant milestone in Hilton’s growing presence across Northern Ireland. Welcoming this fantastic property to our portfolio will further cement Belfast’s status as a premier destination for travellers from near and far.

With its rich history, vibrant culture, and picturesque landscapes, Belfast offers an unforgettable experience, and we are excited to welcome guests to our newest location in this dynamic city. As tourism continues to flourish across the country, we are thrilled to build on our existing partnership with the Loughview Leisure Group to deliver the exceptional hospitality synonymous with the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.”

Hilton has a growing presence in Northern Ireland, through it existing properties: The Marcus Hotel Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton; the DoubleTree by Hilton in Derry and the DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast Templepatrick, which is located on the Kingfisher Country Estate.
