
Following up on a great evening in Cork on Tuesday, the Official Irish Travel Trade Show – organised by the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) – rolled into the InterContinental Hotel, in Ballsbridge, last night, for its Dublin date.
More than 120 of the world’s best known travel and tourism brands were in attendance, making it a must-attend evening for travel agents, tour operators and travel media alike.

Exhibitors included airlines, national and regional tourist organisations, financial services companies, car hire companies, cruise companies, technology and communications companies, theme and leisure parks, international hotels and travel insurance companies. There was also a post-show networking event.

The Irish Travel Trade Show Dublin was supported by Dublin Airport with the networking event partnered by Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM, Visit Detroit and Pure Michigan to launch their exciting new flight from Dublin to Detroit this Spring.

Speaking ahead of both events, this week, Clare Dunne, CEO of the ITAA commented: “For the past nine years, The Irish Travel Trade Shows have proven their importance. Throughout the events, agents and tour operators have the opportunity to build strong connections with suppliers and nurture essential business relationships. At the ITAA, we look forward to these shows with both pride and excitement, knowing the invaluable work they foster and the incredible opportunities they offer to everyone in the trade.”

The ITAA also used the Dublin event to introduce its new board, as elected at at the Association’s AGM, which was held earlier in the day.

Tom Randles – Managing Director of Barter’s Travelnet in Cork – was elected ITAA President, with Martin Skelly – Director of Navan Travel – elected Treasurer.
Also appointed to the board were: Paul Hackett (Click&Go Holidays), Jeff Collins (Best4Travel), Caroline Quigley (Keith Prowse Ireland), Alan Lynch (Travel Escapes), Maura Fahy (Fahy Travel), Olivia McGeown (Centre Travel), and outgoing ITAA President, Angela Walsh (FROSCH Ireland).
