Etihad Airways Brings ‘Unity’ to Christmas Dinner at Anantara the Marker Hotel Dublin

We had a lovely night last night celebrating Etihad Airways at Anantara the Marker Hotel in the Grand Canal Dock, reflecting on a successful year and looking forward to what’s ahead.

Etihad Airways, meaning “union” or “unity” in Arabic, represents the unity of the seven Emirates of the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah). It has been operating from the UAE since 2003 with more than 1,000 flights a week with its fleet of 85 Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

Reflecting on the year to date, Jason Kearns, Etihad account manager for Ireland, thanked Ireland’s travel agencies in their continued bookings of the airline for customers across Ireland and the UK, highlighting Abu-Dhabi not just as an accessible connection to Asia and further east, but as a growing destination for tourists in 2025.

Jeremy Pollock took the stage to reiterate the exciting news that Etihad announced just two weeks ago- announcing 10 new routes in just one day for the first time in its history, joined also by Sue Randle, Key Account Manager- Corporate for Etihad from London and Alpna Mathews from New York, Regional Sales Manager, RGM, Americas, UK and Ireland for Etihad.

Etihad announced 10 new additions to its route network in one day- Algiers (Algeria), Atlanta (US), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Hanoi (Vietnam), Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Krabi (Thailand), Medan (Indonesia) Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Taipei (Taiwan) and Tunis (Tunisia) commencing in July and November next year.

This is an ambitious and exciting addition to the Etihad network of flights around the world and gives customers new opportunities to visit new and ever changing destinations. Whether customers are interested in visiting the elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai’s city of adventure and fun, explore Halong Bay in Hanoi, enjoy the historical capital of Tunis or fly through or visit Atlanta which is a fantastic American destination and also serves as a connection hub for North America.

Over delicious food and wine in Anantara’s Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins, agents and trade celebrated all that Etihad offers and all the new opportunities coming their way in 2025. Enjoying a sea trout pastrami and black pudding terrine for starters, John Stone strip steak and roast cod for mains finished by a Bahibé chocolate mousse or a festive Christmas puddings to end the night!
