Istanbul has become the 38th destination to join the prestigious restaurant rating bible, the Michelin Guide. A popular destination for gastronomic experiences, Istanbul restaurants offer diners an ancient food culture shaped by their unique heritage.
The selection of İstanbul restaurants by independent Michelin inspectors will be announced at a ceremony organized by Michelin on October 11, 2022.
“This interest of the Michelin Guide in the İstanbul food and drink sector demonstrates that Türkiye is also at the forefront of gastronomy tourism”, said Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism for the Republic of Türkiye.
