Hainan Airlines flies direct from Dublin Airport to Beijing up to four times per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Hainan Airlines continues to play an important role in Ireland–China connectivity as the only airline operating a direct service between Ireland and the Chinese mainland. The Dublin–Beijing route provides a vital non-stop link that supports inbound tourism, business travel, education exchanges and cargo, while also positioning Dublin as a convenient European gateway for Chinese travellers.

As the first and only SKYTRAX 5-Star airline in the Chinese mainland, Hainan Airlines offers significant advantages to the Irish travel trade, including reduced travel time, seamless point-to-point connectivity and strong appeal to premium, group and educational travel segments. The route has become an important driver for rebuilding long-haul demand from China and supporting Ireland’s recovery in one of its most valuable tourism markets.
Connectivity was further highlighted during Taoiseach Micheál Martin’s visit to China earlier this year, where he held a dedicated meeting with Hainan Airlines’ CEO Mr. Yu Chaojie. The meeting underscored the importance of the Ireland–China relationship and included a friendly and constructive exchange on the future development of air services between the two countries.
Following these discussions, Hainan Airlines is planning to increase frequencies during the summer peak season, with the intention of operating a daily Dublin–Beijing service, subject to final approvals. A move to daily operations would significantly enhance capacity and flexibility for the Irish travel trade, creating new opportunities across leisure, MICE and education travel.
