Why visit in springtime
From sugar shacks opening their doors for maple season, to wildlife emerging from their winter hibernation and city parks blooming with cherry blossoms, visitors can enjoy a spectacle of colour and life without the peak-season crowds and prices.
Best value time to visit
Aside from the mesmerising scenery, spring is also one of the most budget-friendly times for British travellers to visit Toronto and Montreal, particularly with the current favourable exchange rate against the Canadian Dollar. Travellers can take advantage of competitive airfares, reduced hotel rates, and off-peak attractions, making it an ideal choice for those seeking more bang for their buck during this season.

Travellers can take advantage of up to daily flights from London Gatwick to Toronto as well as one flight per week from Glasgow and Manchester to Toronto during the winter season, until 30th April. This summer, Air Transat will fly up to double daily from London Gatwick, up to daily from Glasgow and Dublin, and up to six times a week from Manchester to Toronto.
Travellers can also choose from up to eight flights per week from London Gatwick to Montreal, an increase of one flight per week from last summer. Thanks to Air Transat’s partnership with Porter, UK travellers can also connect to popular destinations in Western Canada including Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton via Toronto or Montreal.
“Spring is a hidden gem when it comes to travel in Canada,” said Clare McPherson, Marketing Manager for UK & Ireland at Air Transat. “Our flights provide travellers with the perfect gateway to experience the country when nature wakes and starts to bloom again, and with milder temperatures, and deals to be had on flights, hotels and activities, the off-season really shouldn’t be overlooked. It’s the perfect time to discover Canada without the summer crowds.”
