In conjunction with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Celene Duffy (Key Account Manager, APG Ireland) is hosting a fam trip of Irish travel trade to the sandy shores of the Caribbean Island with Virgin Atlantic.
Journeying to St Lucia for four nights is ITTN’s Shane Cullen along with Kayleigh Walters (Best4Travel), Natalie Mary Creavan (Cassidy Travel), Gemma Fee (Club Travel), Sarah Brady (J Barter Travel), Amanda Walsh (Travel Counsellors), Joanna Gomez (Travel Focus) and Brendan Breen (Oroko Travel).
A crisp morning and our Aer Lingus flight took off for London Heathrow. Virgin Atlantic offers a direct service from LHR to St Lucia. It operates thrice weekly from the start of December and the journey time is 9 hours 30 minutes.
Saint Lucia is nestled halfway down the Eastern Caribbean archipelago. Known as the “Helen of the West Indies,” Saint Lucia is famed for its natural beauty and diverse attractions, including the signature Piton Mountains – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tropical rainforests and the Caribbean’s only drive-through volcanoes.
The itinerary includes tours of some of St. Lucia’s wide range of accommodations from world-class 5-star resorts, and boutique hotels as well as a range of activities from thrilling ziplining to a mud bath experience at Sulphur Springs.
