Hi again,
The written submissions by the three short-listed finalists in the inaugural Irish Travel Industry Entrepreneur of the Year Award have now been separately awarded points by the three participating organisations – the Association of Foreign Airlines, the Irish Tour Operators Federation and Irish Travel Trade News, and these are being collated by Grant Thornton. The winner will be announced at the inaugural Irish Travel Industry Christmas Party being held at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin 4, on Friday 25th November 2011 – an event that is endorsed by Travel Centres, Travelsavers Ireland and Worldchoice Ireland.
The current top news story is the launch next June by United of daily non-stop flights between Dublin and Washington DC. Also in this issue we report on the results of the CAR's autumn licensing round, Emirates' 10% commission for November/December, and the winners of the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards announced at last week's World Travel Market in London.
