MSC World America Begins 2-Day Sea Trial

MSC Cruises’ brand new MSC World America ship has set sail on its first sea trial voyage – leaving the docks at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, in France, for a two-day testing period on Thursday afternoon.

During the 2-day trial, MSC World America will take part in a number of testing drills to prove its seaworthiness.

MSC Cruises is set to take formal delivery of MSC World America in April, ahead of its inaugural season sailing the Caribbean out of Miami. MSC is set to hold the naming ceremony for MSC World America, in Miami, on April 9.
