MSC Welcomes First Passenger at MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal

MSC Cruises celebrated a milestone last Saturday as the first passenger disembarked from MSC Fantasia at the brand-new MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal.

This state-of-the-art terminal, designed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA), will serve both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, reinforcing MSC Group’s commitment to Barcelona.

Sandra Yunta, the MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal’s director, and Gianluca Suprani, SVP of Global Port Development and Shore Activities, welcomed the first guests with a special cava toast. The terminal blends elegant architecture with an enhanced guest experience, ensuring a seamless journey from the very first moment.

The official inauguration is set to take place in the coming months, with more details to follow.

The state-of-the-art terminal will serve both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys ships and is a significant infrastructure development for the Cruise Division of MSC Group.
