Exploris Expeditions & Cruises to Expand Fleet with Two New Builds

French expedition cruise company Exploris Expeditions & Cruises is set to expand its fleet, just two years after being established.

The company was formed in 2022 by Ponant co-founder Philippe Videau and only debuted formally last year.

The French company launched its first ship – Exploris One – late last year. That ship had been formerly operated by Silversea Expeditions.

Now, Exploris is planning two more ships – both of which will be new-builds with a maximum capacity of just 98 guests and 62 crew members.

“Designed in the same spirit, our next two vessels will meet some of the most demanding specifications in terms of ecology, performance, safety and comfort,” Exploris said on its website.

For now, Exploris will largely serve the French speaking market and sail to the Arctic, Antarctic, South America, and Northern Europe.
