APT Travelmarvel hosted the travel trade for lunch in Bang Restaurant in Dublin yesterday.
ITTN’s Allie Sheehan attended the lunch hosted by Paul Melinis (Managing Director UK & Europe), Brad Bennetts (Head of Sales UK & Europe) and Michelle Ryan (Country Manager, Ireland).

The lunch began with an introduction to the company, emphasising its family-owned heritage since 1927 and recent expansion in Ireland, where it has onboarded over 50 travel agents since 2023.
Michelle spoke about the 4-star premium cruise experiences provided by APT Travelmarvel, highlighting its commitment to service, innovation, and value, with new inclusive pricing that covers flights, transfers, tips, complimentary drinks and enriching sightseeing experiences.
Attendees learned about the fleet of contemporary river ships and diverse European itineraries, including new routes and ships in Portugal and Asia.
The big news for the afternoon was that APT Travelmarvel has introduced flight-inclusive river cruise packages in Ireland in time for the 2025 cruise season.

The only operator to be offering included flights from a choice of regional gateways, agents and their customers can book departures from Cork, Dublin and Shannon, making it easier and more convenient than ever before for Irish travellers to access Travelmarvel’s river, yacht and small ship cruises in Europe and Asia.

Michelle spoke about how Travelmarvel wants to help bring river cruising to life in agent’s stores.
The company is currently running a competition looking for the five best-decorated window designs who will be in with a chance of winning a digital display for their store. Michelle will be out on the road to have a look at the windows over the next few weeks.

The lunch concluded with a few words from Paul Melinis who expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the trade and highlighted a successful year for APT Travelmarvel.
Paul spoke about the new Estrela ship, which is set for inaugural christening in April after overcoming initial challenges, and revealed a new Mediterranean product featuring a 100-passenger capacity small ship, providing itineraries that connect Porto to the Greek islands alongside a 5-night Greek land experience.
