The first Lufthansa flight took off from Dublin Airport on April 1st 1972 and the airline has since gone on to become one of the longest-standing operating airlines out of Dublin.

In 2019 The Lufthansa Group carried in excess of 1 million passengers from Dublin Airport.
The Lufthansa Group continue to expand their operations in Dublin and Ireland, offering up to 67 weekly flights in 2022.
