New Serenade of the Seas Dubai-based Training Module

Royal Caribbean International has launched a comprehensive new training module designed to engage and educate agents on the newly revitalised Serenade of the Seas and the seven-night Dubai sailings that she will be offering to cruisers from January to April 2013.

Available on the cruise line’s e-learning programme, Cruising for Excellence Online, the new ‘Serenade of the Seas’ training module contains everything agents need to know about the upgraded ship and her Middle Eastern destinations. The module also allows agents to explore the ship’s various decks and take part in fun interactive games relating to its Dubai itinerary, featuring quizzes and videos to keep agents engaged.

In addition, the module outlines the key selling points of Serenade of the Seas and the Dubai itinerary so that agents can more easily sell the enhanced ship and entice clients with details of the Middle Eastern holiday.

Serenade of the Seas will be relocating to Dubai in January 2012 following an extensive revitalisation in November 2012 and will offer guests even more restaurants, new and improved accommodation and a new baby and toddler nursery. The new variety of dining concepts, entertainment options, children’s activities and technology advancements originally introduced on board Royal Caribbean International’s new Oasis-class ships, will be available on board Serenade of the Seas for her first season in Dubai.

Michelle Russell, Training & Events Manager, UK & Ireland, Royal Caribbean International, said: “Our new training module focusing on the newly revitalised Serenade of the Seas and her exciting winter line-up of Dubai sailings is fantastic news for all travel agents. This module provides agents with the perfect opportunity to brush up on the ship’s new and improved features and all of the exotic Middle Eastern destinations she will visit next winter.

“It’s no surprise that agents who continue to stay up-to-date with the latest Cruising for Excellence Online training modules sell the most cruises, so, with that in mind, we recommend agents complete the new module as soon as possible to maximise their sales.”

Since its inception in 2006, Cruising for Excellence Online has trained over 25,000 travel agents, with half of these agents making it to the highest tier of the training programme. First developed for the UK and Ireland, Cruising for Excellence Online has been translated into 13 different languages for RCL Cruises’s travel agent partners throughout the world.
