Royal Caribbean is expecting to return to profitability in 2022 as more of its ships return to service.
The company now has over 40 ships back in operation, with ten more ships expected to set sail again before the end of the year.
The group said it had carried 500,000 guests since the resumption of cruises, with this number set to surpass one million by the end of the year.
Cruises under the Royal Caribbean Group include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea
50 of 61 ships will be back in service by the end of 2021 – representing around 80% of the group’s total capacity.
