Irish Ferries has introduced a new website service suitable for iPhone, Android and Blackberry users. Smartphone users can check sailing times, get real time sailing updates, book fares and pay for tickets on any of the company’s Irish Sea or Ireland/France services. Irish Ferries is believed to be the first ferry company in Europe to offer such a facility.
The new fully transactional service enables customers to book online from any location, at any time, providing they are within range of a mobile signal. Marketing Manager Daragh O’Reilly said: “The system works whenever or wherever a passenger may be, even en route to their ferry port.”
