The title says it all – Andalucía came to Dublin and hosted the trade at Trinity College with the style and elegance that can only be found in Andalucía. A delegation of the top 21 travel and tourism providers, led by Antonio Martin-Machuca Ales, the avuncular Marketing Director of Turismo Andalucía, had an informative workshop where more than 80 members of the Irish trade brushed up on their knowledge or learnt of new developments in the popular Spanish province.
Speaking at the event, HE Javier Garrigues Florez, the Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, noted that his favourite part of Spain is Andalucía, the Provence that can offer a total diversity of tourism product beaches, sunshine, culinary, and skiing. He is amazed that 28% of the Irish population had visited Spain last year.
The event was organised in conjunction with Gonzalo Ceballos Watling, Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin.
Following on from the workshop, the attendees dined well with fine wines from Cadiz, together with a performance of superb classical flamenco that topped off a wonderful evening that truly showcased the best of Andalucía.
Viva Andalucía!
