Tourism Ireland’s Online Film Highlights Dublin’s Hidden Gems

Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new film, ‘Dublin – Tales of the Unexpected’, specially created to highlight some of the quirkier, lesser known things to see and do in Dublin.

The 66-second film reminds visitors that Dublin is a city filled with exciting things to do – some of them off the beaten track. From underground mummies to the 26 towers build to battle Napoleon, the film introduces viewers to an alternative Dublin, encouraging them to come and discover attractions in the city that they may not have heard of before.

It features 14 ‘hidden gems’ including places such as the Irish Rock N Roll Museum in Temple Bar, the National Leprechaun Museum, Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Epic Ireland, and Marsh’s Library. The message for visitors is: “There’s far more to Dublin than meets the eye”.

The film is being promoted through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (3.7 million fans worldwide), Twitter (368,000 followers) and YouTube.
