National Geographic Traveler magazine has described Kerala as “one of the 10 paradises of the world”, and judging by the increase in the number of Irish visitors, from 4,445 in 2010 to 13,012 in 2015, so do the discerning Irish travellers.
These were some of the facts that emerged at the very professional workshop and presentation for the travel trade by Kerala Tourism in the Conrad Hotel, Dublin. The delegation of 15 suppliers was led by Dr Venu V, Principal Secretary-Tourism, Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala.
Kerala is located on the south-western tip of India and enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the best tourist destinations in Asia. Visitors will find an equitable climate and a long shoreline with serene beaches. Air access from Dublin, with Etihad and Emirates via Abu Dhabi or Dubai, is excellent with daily services.
The winner of the top prize at the event, two tickets and accommodation, was Monica Rossi, Abbey Travel.
