Ryanair has recently announced changes in its booking flow that will result in all travellers having to hold a ‘My Ryanair’ account in order to complete a booking. The change takes effect in the Irish market from 1st November 2016 and will be applied to other markets throughout November and December.
Any travellers that already have a ‘My Ryanair’ account can log in with their existing credentials and book flights as normal. Any travellers that do not hold an account with Ryanair will be prompted to create one towards the end of the booking flow, which is mandatory should they wish to complete the booking.
This will have an impact to the booking flow in AeTM when Ryanair fares have been sourced from Travelfusion, and it will be mandatory for travellers to provide or create an account in order to complete a booking when the requirement has been released in their market by Ryanair.
The functionality to enable travellers to enter or create log-in credentials currently exists in AeTM and has been enhanced to apply to bookings from all carriers sourced via Travelfusion, including Ryanair, as of 1st November 2016.
