Thomas Cook Holidays Ireland is to reduce its staff numbers by some 20 people to a total of 40-50 as it implements the results of its collective consultation period on the company’s restructuring plans.
“The consultation was completed on 31st January, some counter proposals were put forward and some changes were made to our plans,” John Kinane told Irish Travel Trade News. “We are now working on the implementation. The staff concerned have varying periods of notice, and there are a few other administrative changes such as changes to reporting lines.”
ITTN extends its best wishes to all those affected and hopes they will find new positions in the travel business in the near future.
