Mention the Seychelles to any of your friends and the immediate reaction is I really want to go there. Now Turkish Airlines is launching flights to this exotic destination with direct flights from Dublin connecting in Istanbul
The launch of the new Turkish Airlines route from Dublin – Istanbul – Seychelles took place in Radisson Blu, Golden Lane, Dublin, with more than 65 of the trade in attendance.
It was a very pleasant evening with food and drinks at the reception followed by a presentation. Hasan Mutlu, General Manager, Turkish Airlines, kicked off the presentation and mentioned that, although Turkish Airlines has been through some tough years, things are looking up and people are now starting to return to travelling to Istanbul. Turkish Airlines has won the Skytrax award for six years in a row as Europe’s Best Airline.
Tinaz Wadia then gave an overview of the Seychelles as a destination, followed by representatives of four hotels including the Savoy, Berjaya Hotels and Coco de Mer Hotel.
At the end of the evening the prize draw took place. The prize was two tickets from Dublin with a three -night stay at Savoy Seychelles Resort and a two-night stay at Coco de Mer Hotel.
Julia Havelka of Trailfinders won the prize – and it turned out that she was going to go on her honeymoon this year. When Hasan Mutlu, General Manager, Turkish Airlines, heard this he informed her that he will upgrade her with two Business Class tickets to the Seychelles. Tinaz Wadia, from Seychelles National Tourism Office, also gave her free island transfers and other activities on the Seychelles.
