The UTV Business Eye Awards, which celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, is Emirates first sponsorship in Northern Ireland and is a sign of its commitment to the island of Ireland. The Awards recognise and honour high achievers and leaders of the Northern Ireland business community as well as the public sector.
Joining the Awards’ judging panel, Enda Corneille, Country Manager for Emirates in Ireland said; “The Northern Ireland market has become increasingly important to Emirates as more passengers are choosing Dublin over other European hubs for their long-haul, east-bound travel. Since launching in the Irish market in 2012 and more specifically since going double daily in 2014, we have seen an increase in the number of customers from the north travelling with Emirates both for business and leisure.
“We have a dedicated presence in the North for our corporate customers and our aim is to help support their global business requirements. That means offering great connections, an award-winning onboard service, lie-flat seats for the ultimate in comfort, onboard wi-fi, a generous baggage allowance and a cargo team that co-ordinates the delivery of 50 tonnes of freight every day from Ireland.
“The UTV Business Eye Awards is a natural fit for Emirates. To be a part of something that recognises and rewards Northern Ireland’s most successful, innovative and hard-working business leaders is really exciting for us and we feel very much part of the local business community here.”
The awards, which will be televised on UTV, will take place in November at Belfast Waterfront, the city’s newest and largest venue. The closing date for entries is Friday 21st October 2016 with more information on utvawards.businesseye.co.uk.
