Caribbean Princess Sails into Dublin

Caribbean Princess sailed into Dublin Port on her ‘British Isles’ cruise, under the command of Captain Giorgio Pomata. The ship can carry 3,064 passengers and has a multi-national crew of 1,200.

By the end of August 2016, Caribbean Princess will have sailed her round-‘British Isles’ itinerary eleven times. Around 3,000 guests will have disembarked at each port of call, totalling an estimated 11,000 visitors to each port in 2016.

Caribbean Princess was sailing the following itinerary: Southampton | Guernsey (St Peter’s Port) | Cobh | Dublin | Liverpool | Belfast | Glasgow (Greenock) | Invergordon | Edinburgh | Honfleur/Normandy.

The US$450 million, 3,100-passenger vessel is the first ship dedicated to year-round Caribbean voyages for Los Angeles-based Princess Cruises. The ship features 881 balcony cabins, that is 80% of all outside cabins, and a  300 sq ft outdoor video screen.The ship had a major refurbishment in 2011.

The ship will also operate this popular ‘British Isles’ programme again next year.

Princess Cruises will launch the Majestic Princess, 143,000 gross tonnage, next year. The ship will have Shanghai as her home port, to capture  a share of the growing Chinese cruise market.
