One thing is for sure, John Cassidy and John Spollen from Cassidy Travel know how to celebrate 30 years in business with great style and panache. The venue was Avenue by Nick Munier in Dublin’s Crow Street, and it was a veritable who’s who of the travel industry, past and present personalities swapped memories as they enjoyed fine dining laid on by Nick Munier himself.
Among the many faces from the past were Jimmy Donnelly of Global Holidays fame and the original founders of Falcon Holidays, Freddy O’Neill, Bill Smith and Gabrielle Malone. Con Neenan of Neenan Travel was also in attendance.
Speaking at the dinner, John Cassidy said that it was good to be able to welcome old friends and new friends – the company had made some fantastic friends over the 30 years that they had been in business. He also pointed out that the staff of Cassidy Travel has been the backbone of the business and paid tribute to Ger Hurley for her 25 years of service.
He went on to reveal that the he had received two takeover offers for the company but, on mature reflection, they did not proceed.
A truly great night celebrating a great company and here’s to the next 30 years!
