Lee Osborne has won the inaugural ‘Best Agent Friendly Individual’ award, while the new ‘Best Newcomer’ award has two joint winners: Red Sea Holidays and Wendy Wu Tours. Aer Lingus won two airline awards, ‘Best Airline to Europe’ and ‘Best Airline to North America’, Emirates also won two awards: ‘Best Long Haul Airline’ and ‘Best Business Class Airline’, and Crystal Ski Holidays was declared ‘Best Ski Tour Operator’.
All staff working for a licensed and bonded travel agency anywhere on the island of Ireland were eligible to vote and the voting forms were submitted directly to, and then independently collated and audited by, international accountants and consultants Grant Thornton.
All fully completed, eligible Voting Forms received were entered into a prize draw, with the winner being randomly selected by Grant Thornton’s computer. Isa Johnston, Centre Travel, Dundalk, was announced the winner of the Irish Travel Trade Awards Voters Prize of a summer 2016 luxury one-week holiday for two, including return flights ex-Dublin to Egypt, plus all-inclusive accommodation at the Ghazala Beach Hotel, courtesy of Red Sea Holidays and Irish Travel Trade News.
