Next Monday 2nd November brings the start of this year’s four-day World Travel Market at ExCeL in London, which will facilitate more than 1.1 million on-stand business meetings that will generate more than £2.5 billion (€3.45bn) in industry deals. On average, WTM exhibitors host a total of 230 on-stand meetings.

A2B Transfers

Transfer specialist A2Btransfers.com will unveil its new XML API to the travel trade on stand GV570 at WTM London 2015. With 95% of sales made via the trade, A2B will be at WTM to showcase its brand to UK and international agents and to demonstrate its expertise in the transfer sector. Other news includes improved search functionality on its website, with flight search now available to tie transfers into travel schedules, and SMS confirmations for clients with pick-up times and voucher information, delivered to mobiles for an even more hassle-free experience.

CATA

The Central America Tourism Agency (CATA, stand LA470), which represents Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, has launched a pan-European campaign to maintain the steady growth of European travellers to the region. CATA’s objective is to promote multi-destination travel, combining at least two CATA countries in one visit. In May 2016, British Airways will launch a new direct service from London Gatwick to Costa Rica.
